To everything, there is a season.
People value different things in the course of a lifetime. Our values have changed dramatically a few times. Some people crave security…we've been on that track. Get the kids raised, start the 401K, work really hard, and hope for the best. That's where we come from.
I used to think I needed things. A nice house, cute car, nice TV, the usual. None of those things make you happy. Kids and grandkids make you happy but you cannot live your whole life through them. As much as we
love them, they will grow up and have their own lives and not need us so much anymore.
Now that we have come to this stage in our lives where nobody depends on us but ourselves, we have the freedom to explore. We have come to value experiences more than things and our adventures reflect that. We are lucky enough to both feel the same way about how we travel. You will rarely find us on any arranged tours, preferring instead to do a lot of research and do our wandering on our own. We are, The Wandering Grandparents!
